Congratulations go to GHS learners Lolwethu Roboji, Qhayiya Follie, Kwathitha Godana, Sonwabise Panya, Zamanqabe Shweni, Chantelle Zintambila, Mvelo Mahomba and Asiyolise Nyubatyha who were selected for the EC Chess Team for 2024. These girls will be representing the Eastern Cape Provincial Chess team in their relevant age groups at various tournaments during the year. All 8 learners recently participated in the Spartans Bishop Chess Championships held in Rustenburg. Although they were not placed, the girls gained valuable experience and they are looking forward to the next tournament to hone their chess skills.
