Queenstown Girls’ High School hosted the Spar Eastern Cape Inland Schools Hockey Challenge. Congratulations to our 1st Hockey team who won this fiercely contested tournament. The 1st Hockey team will travel to Port Elizabeth in July for the final round of this challenge. The positive atmosphere and vibe at this tournament is infectious and the day is thoroughly enjoyed by the girls, coaches and parents. A big thank you got to Spar for sponsoring this event.
GHS 1st team won vs Stutterheim 3 – 0, won vs Bredbach 4 – 0, won vs Kingsridge 1 – 0 and won in the finals vs Burgersdorp 3 – 0. GHS 2nd team won vs Hangklip 1 – 0, drew vs St Christopher’s 0 – 0 and lost vs Burgersdorp 0 – 1.
