The GHS Senior and Junior Debating Teams travelled to PE to partake in the E C Provincial Debating Championships.
The Juniors obtained the following results:
Round 1 Lost vs Hangklip High, Round 2 Lost vs D F Malherbe, Round 3 Won vs Umtata Christian School, Round 4 Won vs Pearson High, Round 5 Won vs Dordrecht High, Round 6 Won vs GAP : the Junior Team ranked 8th and lost in the Plate semi-final against Hangklip. Congratulations to the girls who were placed out of 103 speakers : Olwam Siyengu 14th, Iyanda Sithole 33rd and Kripa Thomas 53rd.
The Seniors obtained the following results:
Round 1 Won vs Dale College, Round 2 lost vs Hexagon High, Round 3 Won vs Graeme College, Round 4 Won vs Ngongelizwe SS, Round 5 Lost vs Merrifield, Round 6 Won vs Pearson High : The Senior Team ranked 5th and lost the plate semi-final against Holy Cross. Congratulations to the girls who were placed out of 119 speakers : Mihlali Kali 4th, Sharon Abofra 6th, Sambese Buso 49th, Sinovuyo Ngece 63rd and Endinalo Biyana 75th.
