On 1 August, the GHS Chess Team participated in the Chris Hani District elimination round for the Chris Hani District Chess Team, and the following results were obtained:
- u/15 1st Kripa Thomas, 2nd Ntandakazi Dumezweni
- u/17 1st Asiyolise Nyubatyha, 2nd Azile Totose, 4th Amahle Totsholo
- u/19 1st Rethabile Hlanga, 2nd Sonwabise Panya, 3rd Owethu Maqhiza
We are proud to announce that these girls will represent the Chris Hani District Chess Team in East London on 18 September, competing for Provincial Selection.
