Melandie van Staden participated in the South African Bass Angling Junior Border Eastern District Competition during September. This competition was held at the Settlers Dam in Grahamstown. Melandie was placed 10th over-all with a bag weight of 16,34 kg. She also received the Lunker Certificate for catching the biggest Bass in the second session of the competition.
